INFLIGHT COAT FORMULA ........................recommendations.......... TIMING TIMING TIMING....As with any coat supplement, its best to start it when the dog is about 90% out of coat, give a bath and a good raking/brushing, to get out all the old coat possible. Then start the supplement (by weight, see below) religiously from then until the dog starts to shed again. Taking them off it in the middle of a good coat cycle could trigger a coat blow, so make sure you have plenty on-hand. With the Inflight, when you see signs of an upcoming shed, if you need to KEEP the coat for a couple of weeks (for the shows you just sent the entries in on!!), try doubling the dose until after the shows and that will help hold the coat, to get you by those shows. IMHO, it is then necessary to take them OFF the supplement so the body/coat is allowed to continue thru its natural cycle. DO NOT KEEP THEM ON IT CONTINUOUSLY. Once the coat is again about 90% gone, then start up again, as above. I think you need to let them go thru the remaining shed cycle, but the supplement HELPS get the new coat back quicker/fuller. WARNING: Many people start supplements in the middle of a coat cycle, give it for a while, then say it didn't do any good. Well, the reason it didn't do any good was that they didn't DO IT right! With some dogs you will see a difference in one coat cycle; with others, you might not see a real difference for two, or even three cycles - depends on how "bad" they were to begin with. Or, it can take some dogs longer for their body to "catch up" with the program. With others, you might not ever see a true difference. But, for the ones it works on, it works GREAT!!! This is pure honesty, and JMO. |
Inflight Coat Formula is a concentrated combination of natural herbs and minerals.
It is strong enough to give miraculous results to your dog's coat, but
is balanced so as to not interfere with your dog's natural well-being or any medications
your dog might be on. We do recommend that you check with your
Vet prior to supplementing your dog's diet, tho. Suggested Dosage: Mix the correct amount of ICF in the food, once per day. UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSAGE. (I will start my dogs out on the recommended dosage for their weight, but once they gain about 80% of their coat back, I reduce it to the next level down and it seems to have the same effect.) The following appears on the containers as well: Weight (in lbs) Dosage (in Teaspoons) Under 20 1/2 tsp 20-40 1 tsp 40-60 1-1/2 tsp 60-80 2 tsp 80-100 2-1/2 tsp 100+ 3 tsp NOTE: If tufting has just begun, TO HOLD A COAT for those last shows you entered, DOUBLE THE DOSAGE until you have finished showing. Stop supplementing when your shows are through, and allow the natural shedding process to continue, as discussed elsewhere. STORAGE: For best results, store in a cool, DRY place: 1) We recommend purchasing a 1 lb container first, then KEEP it when you make your next purchase. These containers are the BEST the company has found to keep the product air-tight, and they preserve freshness longest - so use one container for your everyday use, and freeze the rest in your other container. 2) KEY: PLEASE MAKE SURE LIDS ARE CLOSED TIGHTLY, THAT MEANS PRESS DOWN HARD UNTIL THEY SNAP! 3) Freezing is OK, but REFRIGERATION NOT RECOMMENDED (too much moisture). |
