The village of Charleston has two marinas, a restaurant with small general store
and hand-packed ice cream, with two bait shops, and another bait shop up
the road. Five miles away is Athens, where you will find grocery, variety and hardware stores, as well as post office, bank, bakery, gas stations, local LLB beverage store and several restaurants.. There are also quaint gift shops in Athens, as well as local Real Estate concerns, golf course (above), and chip wagon. At the south end of the lake, also called "The Outlet", you will find another restaurant & variety store, Twist's Outlet Store. (Our Charleston Heights cottages are also at this end of the lake) |
