Charleston Lake Cottage Rentals ALL COTTAGES ARE CLOSED FOR THE WINTER Oct 15 thru May 15 ***PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!* NOTE: For the most part, our cottages are privately owned by people that are
not able to be at the lake for the entire summer. The owners let us know
in early February when they will be using the place(s), and we are then able
to book around their dates for that year. Hence, NO bookings will be made for any cottage until we have the owner's private dates for that season, usually the first week in Feb. Bookings are SOLELY on a first-come, first-served basis, requests via EMAIL ONLY. The cottages book fast, July and August usually being fully booked by the end of Feb. So, don't delay! It is possible to phone us at the marina but we really prefer to have your request for dates in "writing" via email. If you don't see the dates you would like, keep checking, we do occasionally get cancellations, and we occasionally add new cottages! Click here for additional information about rentals at Charleston Lake, garbage, parking, pets, etc. BOOKING PROCEDURE 1. Check the booking calendar for your cottage, for available dates. (links listed below for each) Please note that the calendars show the NIGHTS that are booked. Our weekly rentals are from 2 pm Sat to 10 am Sat, so on the Sat you leave, that night will show as open, for someone else, unless someone else has already booked starting that Sat. 2. Email us for confirmation of dates (please note there is sometimes a lag between the time someone else books and when it gets published to the online calendar, so it is POSSIBLE that even tho the calendar shows the dates as available, they might not actually be available; hence, the reason for the confirming emails). 3. When you get your confirmation email, it will show your Confirmation # in the SUBJECT LINE of the note. It will show in the BODY of the note the snail mail address of where to send your signed Contract AND your signed Reservation Form. NOTE: THERE ARE TWO SIGNED FORMS TO BE MAILED (and, please use regular snail mail, nothing fancy such as receipt requested. This causes us to make an unplanned trip to the post office, wait in horribly long lines, and could delay your reservation) DO NOT MAIL TO CANADA Nov thru March. 4. Print out both the Contract and the Reservation Form for your cottage; fill out completely, sign and mail BOTH to the address given above. Please do not try to fax or email the reservation forms. Our fax is turned OFF during the winter. NOTE: No cottage is considered booked unless you show a confirmation # on your Reservation Form and the form is filled out COMPLETELY. Missing information requested will result in it being returned to you and you may lose your booking. The forms must be received within two weeks of confirmation email, or reservation will be cancelled. AGAIN, leaving off ANY information on the form will negate your contract....this INCLUDES Credit Card info and signature. CREDIT CARD info is collected for use only in the case of damage or unpaid bills, and for Cancellation Charge: $200 charge to your credit card if we do not receive cancellation requests by 60 days prior to arrival date. If we are able to rebook it, there will be no charge We do not take deposits. ALL cottages are to be paid in Canadian CASH at time of arrival (check in and out at Kelsey's Marina). Please do not plan to use your credit card for the cottage rentals themselves. Any other things, such as rental boats, gas, store items, etc. CAN be put on the cards, but not the cottages. We take Visa, Mastercard and Debit cards only. We retain the right to refuse any bookings. Occupancy is based on any person 5 yrs of age and over, due to strain on septic systems.
