Lancaster Chapter of the Villanova Alumni Association

- The prayer of St. Thomas of Villanova was said to open the meeting.
- Minutes from the January 10 meeting were approved as presented.
- Treasurer's report: $710.48.
- Announcements from the Villanova News were presented.
- The TV basketball game on January 13 had a net cost of about $90.00.
- The bus trip to the Villanova-Connecticut game at First Union Center at noon on Saturday, February 10 had 20 attendees.
- A membership list and a comparison with the size of other chapters was given.
- The Spring Speaker Series with Father McGuire is on April 5 at Bent Creek. The flyer to be sent by Villanova was shown.
- All ten tickets for the Villanova Theater on Saturday, April 21 are taken. Dinner before the show will be at the Conference Center.
- A Spring Family Outing at Hershey Park is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 2. Twenty people are necessary to obtain the discount rate which is sizable. We will send the information to our alumni and hope to entice more of our young families into participating. We will underwrite $5.00 of all admissions for children 16 or under. The Harrisburg chapter has disbanded. It was suggested that we invite them to the Hershey Park outing.
- The Fall National Week of Service is the week of October 13. We will present recommendations at the next meeting.
- The next meeting is at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at St. Leo Church.
