Minutes of November 8, 2000 Meeting

- The prayer of St. Thomas of Villanova was said to open the meeting.
- The minutes from the September 20 meeting were approved as presented.
- Treasurer's report: $1046.46. No interest is paid on this account.
- News announcements from Villanova included.
- The men's basketball schedule.
- Information about a new basketball recruit, Marcus Austin, from St. Patrick in Elizabeth, NJ.
- The on-line auction sponsored by the Block V Club.
- A letter from Noreen Cameron, Associate Director of Campus Ministry, which asked us to sponsor a student volunteer participating in the National and International Mission Service Trips Program. Ellen Suetholz, a Villanova student, explained her upcoming trip to Ecuador and requested our support, both financially and in prayer. The Chapter voted to send her $50.00.
- The newsletter from Villanova has not been mailed. (It arrived on Monday, November 12.)
- $50.00 will be given to St Leo for the use of their meeting room. This amount is donated biannually.
- The chapter activities schedule for 2000-2001 is:
- Christmas party at 6:30 PM on Sunday, December 3, at the Hinnenkamp's. Frank will send post cards.
- TV party to watch the Villanova-UCLA game at Karen Rizzo's home on January 13 at 4:00PM. The charge is $5 per person. Karen will arrange for food and drink ($150 max). This is for young alumni.
- A bus trip to the Villanova-Connecticut game at First Union at noon on Saturday, February 10. Joe Lundy is handling.
- Father McGuire will be the speaker at the Spring Speaker Series to be held on April 5 at Bent Creek Country Club.
- Villanova Theater at 8:00 PM on Saturday, April, 21. Ten tickets are available, $10 each. "Children of Eden", a musical, is the play.
- For the 2001-2002 basketball season, all those present believed the bus trip should be limited to games at the Palestra.
- Frank will store all e-mail addresses.
- Next meeting is 01/10/01 at 7:00 PM at St. Leo Church.
