Story Robes
"Red Crow and his party, about ten in number, went to the country for
horses. When they came to Crow country - as they were coming close to
the camps - the Crow hunters saw them and they quietly went home and
gave the alarm at every lodge. Riders went up the hill where Red Crow
and his party were. The Crow surrounded the area where Red Crow had
already made his dugout. The fighting went on all day and late into the
night. After dark, Red Crow and his party crept away along the bank. All
escaped. As they were making their way along the river, they came across
two lodges. Quietly, they drove off the horses that were there and fled
for home."
