Due to an upcoming move, we are not currently offering any group classes--see the bottom of this page for information on private lessons.  Normally, our 6-week group obedience sessions cost $80 and are limited to six dogs per class.  During good weather we may spend part of each class outdoors in a brightly-lit, fenced area, but a climate controlled indoor training room is used full-time during bad weather. Puppy and Level 1 classes include a training manual.

In puppy class, we cover basic obedience training, teach the puppies to enjoy being handled (while keeping four paws on the floor!), and include guided puppy socialization. Each puppy will also learn one or two "party tricks" by the end of class. The instructor is happy to help with your questions about play-biting, housebreaking, chewing inappropriate items, etc. Open to puppies from 10-20 weeks of age at the start of the session.  Your puppy should have at least two (preferably three) puppy shots before attending class.

If your dog jumps on visitors, pulls you down the block, or comes only when he wants to, Level I is the class for you! You'll teach your dog to walk on leash without pulling, come when called, greet guests without jumping and stop bolting through doors. Cures for other problems, like barking, digging and stealing household items, will also be discussed upon request. Open to any puppy or dog from 5 months to 12 years old. 

This is for dogs that have completed Level 1 or that have already had some obedience training. We will increase the reliability of stays and teach the dogs "life skills,"  like how  to come quickly despite distractions. Formal recalls, heeling and the "finish" are also introduced, as are a variety of fun tricks.

Private obedience lessons are available at our facility days, evenings or weekends.  Each lesson is $25 for 45 minutes and there is no minimum "package."  You can even take ONE lesson if you want! 

We can cover any exercises you choose:  sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, not jumping up on people, come when called, or even tricks  like shake hands, roll over, ring a bell.  If you wish to work on a complete training program (as done in the group classes), we suggest you buy a copy of the class training manual and a clicker & wristband for $12.  The manual has exercises to practice at home and easy to understand explanations of how to do each exercise.
