Repo - General Information

Repo is now a working dog on a cattle and sheep farm, but was a cherished member of Sharon's household for two years.

Repo was one of 26 Border Collies seized from a puppy mill by the Missouri Department of Agriculture in July 2005.  Repo turned out to be a very active boy, cheerful and full of fun.  He has a super biddable temperament and loves all people and other dogs.

By the age of 2, Repo knew many tricks and was in training for competitive agility and obedience.  He had been professional trained for stock work by Danny Shilling of Bois D'Arc, MO, and had enjoyed a successful competition career at the Ranch level on both cattle and sheep.

In May of 2007, Sharon decided that Repo's talents were being wasted living in a condo in the city.  Danny and his wife, Velda, eagerly welcomed Repo into their family.  Repo now sleeps in their house and gets to work cattle and sheep many times each day.

Danny is a USBCHA sheep and cattle trial judge, and was chosen to judge the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Brazilian National Stockdog Championships.  He has already begun competing successfully with Repo, and is finding him very useful on the farm.

Just a few weeks after Repo went to live with Danny and Velda, Hallmark Cards phoned Sharon asking to use Repo in a photo shoot.  So Velda and Sharon met up in Kansas City for the shoot, which also involved Sharon's dog, Piper, and two human models flown in from NYC.

Repo and Piper will be appearing in billboards advertising Hallmark's "Red" campaign in January 2008.
