Until moving to England in October '99, I studied Northern Shaolin kung fu with the Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association and contemporary wushu with the University of Wisconsin's Chinese Martial Arts Club.  Although I only trained for one year, I attended class around nine hours a week and it has had a huge influence on my life since then.
