(left and below) I took these photos while sitting at an outdoor café owned by my friend Luiza's boyfriend.  He fed me, Luiza, and Luiza's daughter, Carol three meals a day the whole week I was in Bahia to scuba dive and explore.  What a view!  And the food was spectacular!

I "jumped" Carnival in Olinda and Recife in 1995.  If you think this looks crowded, it gets even worse at night. I enjoyed the switch from capturing wild Brazilian primates to partying with them!

(above) Churrascos ("barbecues") are ubiquitous daily events during Carnival season in Brazil.

(right) This Rio hangliding adventure was the best 10 minutes of my life!  If I hadn't had a plane to catch, I would have spent my last Brazilian Real jumping over and over again.  Here, me and my glider pilot soar 1600' over Tijuca National Rainforest en route to landing on Pepino Beach.
