| I love this movie on so many levels. It’s about genuine friendship; it’s about overcoming your prison walls—whatever they may be. It’s about taking on the establishment—not a coincidence that I like that about this film. Ultimately it’s about rebirth, redemption, and reward. It’s really an allegory of life: we live, are confronted with life’s struggles and hardships, but then if we persevere, we’ll enjoy paradise—our Zihuatanejo. | |||
