Lately, at our Girl Scout meetings we have been working on three main projects: minimal impact, campfire safety, and identifying leaves. We are planning to present our campfire safety and minimal impact posters to a younger Girl Scout troop.

For our leaf project we had to identify six leaves using the Internet, label them with a description, and preserve them. We are planning on making a leaf scrapbook and taking it when we go on campouts.

Check out the links listed below for great sites to identify leaves and learn about minimal impact and campfire safety.

For the fall holiday, we went on a hayrack ride. Along the way, high school students performed a Halloween play. They even had a headless horseman! Before we went on the ride we had hotdogs roasted over the fire and roasted marshmallows.
