We will ride the PATCO High Speed Line from one end to the other, and then return to Broadway Station in Camden (Walter Rand TC) without leaving the system at Lindenwold. Therefore, we will only pay the fare between Philadelphia and Broadway Station in Camden, which is $1.15.

Children under 5 ride free. All others pay adult fare.

Fare on the RiverLINE is $1.25 for a 2-hour period. Since we will be spending 1 hour 41 minutes on the system, you will only need to purchase one RiverLINE ticket for $1.25. Validate your ticket at Walter Rand Transportation Center (right before we board). The ticket will show its expiration time, not its sale time.

Fare on the Newark City Subway is $1.25 for a 45-minute period. Since we will be spending roughly 46 minutes on the system, it would be safest to purchase two Newark City Subway tickets for a total of $2.50. We will be validating our tickets at Newark Penn Station (right before we board) and at Grove Street in Bloomfield before we return to Newark. The ticket will show its expiration time, not its sale time.

For the NJ TRANSIT commuter rail trip on the Northeast Corridor, we are only riding in one direction, so we all have to pay a one-way fare. If you live in Trenton or points south and plan to return in that direction, then you can purchase an off-peak round-trip ticket that is substantially cheaper than two one-way fares.

Fare on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (HBLRT) is $1.75 for a 90-minute period. Since we will be spending roughly 2-1/2 hours on the system, you will need to purchase two HBLRT tickets for a total of $3.50. Validate your first ticket at Exchange Place (right before we board) and most likely the second one at Hoboken Terminal before we ride the northern portion of the system. The ticket will show its expiration time, not its sale time.

PATH fares are a flat $1.50 per person, no matter how long the distance or time. We will be boarding the system twice - once at Newark Penn Station and the other at Exchange Place after completing the HBLRT portion of the fest.

Our first ride will be from Newark to the World Trade Center station. We will remain on the same train, and then return to Exchange Place. Our second ride will begin at Exchange Place and take us to Hoboken. There, we will change trains within the fare paid area for the final run to 33rd Street. So figure on a total of $3.00 for PATH.

You can pay with cash, PATH QuickCard, or the MTA's pay-per-ride Metrocard. The QuickCard is being phased out and is no longer available from PATH vending machines. However, they can still be purchased from newstands and other vendors. If you do have one, note that the 2-ride QuickCard offers no discount. The new PATH vending machines will sell pay-per-ride Metrocards, even at New Jersey stations.
