OTOL Montreal RailFest 2006:
Commuter rail costs in Montreal (AMT)

July 21-22, 2006

Created 4/1/06

All fares in Canadian dollars.

Fares on AMT commuter rail is based on zones travelled between stations. Like many commuter rail and light rail properties, AMT uses an honor system whereby no tickets are collected, but fare inspectors may check at random to ensure that each passenger has proof they paid their fare.

We will be taking three different round trips on commuter rail lines on Friday and Saturday. Friday's trip to Blainville (Zone 6) costs $7.50 each way, or $15 round trip. Each of Saturday's trips to both Deux Montagnes and Dorion costs $6.50 each way, or $13 round trip. Thus your total costs, if you take all three round trips, will be $41.

Tickets can be purchased at all major stations, including Central Station and Lucien-L'Allier downtown, and the Parc station where we will be boarding the train to Blainville.

Fare media on AMT and STM is not interchangeable.
