The base fare on all New Orleans RTA bus and streetcar lines is $1.25. Fare is payable at the farebox as you board.

A VisiTour Pass is available for $5.00. This will give you one day of unlimited bus and streetcar rides. Visi-Tour Passes are available at these locations.

RTA has discounted fares for senior citizens and disabled persons, but they specific identification cards have to be picked up in person at one of the RTA's transit facilities. Unfortunately as short time visitors in town that won't be possible, so you will have to pay the full fare or get a VisiTour Pass.
