You can buy tokens in bulk amounts of 2, 5, or 10 and ride for just $1.30, which is 35% off the base fare.

The SEPTA transit rides we expect to take on Saturday will cost as follows:

SEPTA Regional Rail fares are based on zones, much like other commuter rail operators. When a ticket office is open or a ticket vending machine is available at the station, tickets must be purchased before riding, and they are collected by a crew member. A $2 surcharge is added to the cost of the ticket purchased from the train crew if a ticket office was open before the train's scheduled departure time, or if a ticket vending machine is present. SEPTA tickets are not available by mail or internet.

Tickets do not have station names printed on them; only the zones of travel. A Zone 2 ticket, for example, is good on any SEPTA line in either direction, between the Center City stations and any Zone 2 station.

If you need to travel between any of the three Center City stations (30th Street, Suburban, and Market East), you will need to purchase a special round trip ticket for $3.50. However, if you have arrived in Philadelphia on any AMTRAK train at 30th Street Station, you can show your AMTRAK ticket stub for a complimentary fare to Suburban or Market East Stations. If you are leaving Philadelphia on AMTRAK, your full AMTRAK ticket will suffice as your SEPTA fare from Market East or Suburban Stations to 30th Street Station. You will need to have pre-purchased your return ticket home in order to use it for this purpose.

Fares for the trip segments we expect to take are as follows:

* Child fare is for children ages 5-11 on weekends.

** Senior fare is for those over 65 with a Medicare card 
or Senior Citizen Transit Identification Card.

The base NJ TRANSIT one-zone fare is $1.10. This applies to the entire route of the RiverLINE. Fares are on the merit system. You must purchase a ticket from a machine at any station, and then validate it before boarding. The validation gives you two hours to complete your trip. The two hour period of validity gives us enough time to ride the entire route from Trenton to Entertainment Center, and also return to Walter Rand Transportation Center.

* Child fare is for children ages 5-11 on weekends.  However on weekends,
up to 2 children ages 5-11 ride free with each fare paying adult.

** Senior fare is for those over 62 with valid ID, or over 65
with a Medicare card or Senior Citizen Transit Identification Card.

The fare between Broadway Station in Camden and all Philadelphia stations is $1.15. You must purchase a farecard from a machine at Broadway station. The farecard must be entered into the fare gate upon entry and exit from the system. When you leave the system at 8th & Market, a one trip farecard will be retained by the machine, while a multiple trip farecard will be returned to you.

* PATCO offers no child discount for ages 6 and above.

** Senior discount is only offered in advance, and as a 10-trip ticket.
