The third of the major Chicago-area transit agencies under the RTA, this is strictly suburban buses. Most of their routes feed METRA or CTA stations.

This railfan site is dedicated solely to the South Shore Line and its predecessors.

The Gray Line

A plan to "transitize" the inner-city portion of METRA Electric. Its South Chicago and Blue Island branches and the mainline as far as Kensington would become the CTA Gray Line and have free transfers with the "L".
