Pittsburgh/Cuyahoga Valley Railfest 2006 was hosted by Mike Hammond. It took place over two days in the Cleveland and Pittsburgh areas, offering a diverse selection of rail-related activities. Three people took part.

On Saturday, the group started out in Pittsburgh, where they rode the two Inclines, as well as the light rail lines to South Hills Village and Library, via Beechview and Overbrook. It was their first time on the Overbrook Line since it was refurbished. They also got a bonus as there was an inbound detour over the 52 line via Allentown, which they normally would not have been able to ride on a weekend.

Then on Sunday the day-long activity was a round trip on Ohio's Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. The trip began and ended in Independence, south of Cleveland, and the midday layover (and lunch) was in Akron.
