Action Poker
Have you had your RAZGU Today?

That's the question of the day at the Lady Luck Casino where a fascinating new table game called Action Poker just debuted. Not to be construed as an "X" rated query or an invitation to dine, the question is best translated as,"did you win big bucks with a hand like a foot?"

It is always a challenge to describe something new and different in Las Vegas where the entire metropolis is constantly in transition. Radically different is perhaps the best way to summarize Action Poker, because nothing like this game has ever been seen before. Perhaps the game should have been called "Nobody" because....

How is all this possible? Just look at the way Action Poker is played.
Action Poker is played on a standard BJ table which accomodates up to seven players. A six deck shoe is used. One bet entitles the player to play the hand through to the end. An optional $1.00 side bet is offered to participate in a progressive jackpot for high value hands.

The Dealer, who does not play any hand, first offers the "bogey" jar to one player (in rotation) who drops a ball into it to randomly select an 8, 9, 10 or Jack as the "bogey" for that round. This "bogey" is the minimum rank for a winning High Pair. It also serves to define a RAZGU hand which has no winners, no pairs and has all cards below the "bogey".

Players quickly recognize that a low bogey favors the awards for High Pairs while a high bogey favors awards for RAZGUs

The Dealer deals two cards face up to each player and makes awards of 4 bet units to any players who have High Pairs. The award is placed on the payout template which is in front of each player.

The Dealer then deals a third card to each player and makes an award if a new value has been created, such as a High Pair (paid 2) or Triplets (paid 3).

The Dealer then deals a fourth card to eack player, making awards for Two Pair (pays 2), Four of a Kind (pays 25) or newly made High Pair (Push) or newly made Trips (Pays 2).

Then the fifth and final card is dealt to seach player, with these awards made to each for their highest winning hand:

By its very colorful signage and table layout, RAZGU spells fun and the players are entertained in a completely relaxed environment, some even enjoying following every card in every hand. Even though no skill is needed the continuous pace of the table action absorbs the players.

DP Stud, the Nevada distributor of Caribbean Stud, is distributing RAZGU Action Poker for Royal Games Developers.
