We use only 100% cotton lawn by Hoffman. This is the best fabric for dyeing and the added bonus is that it remains soft and silky. It's fine for hand or machine quilting too.

Will the color run?

We wash our fabrics multiple times in both cold and hot water and do a final wash with Synthropol in the washing machine to remove any remaining dye. This means that the fabric is pre-shrunk for you and should not bleed. However, it's always good idea to test your fabric before you use it. We recommend that whenever you wash it, you machine (or hand) wash in cool water on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low.

What about shipping?

We charge a maximum of $5 per order shipped to a US address (including Alaska and Hawaii) and $15 shipped to Canada regardless of how much you order. Lighter weight orders are charged between $1 and $4 depending on the weight. We ship USPS First Class or Priority Mail. We charge whatever the Post Office charges us to mail International packages. You will never pay more than the amount that appears in your shopping cart. If we are charged less, we will refund the excess charges.

Do you take credit cards?

YES, We accept all major credit cards, US Postal money orders and personal checks.

Is your site secure?

What if I don't want to use my credit card?

What if I need a particular color or a larger quantity? We love special orders and will be happy to work with you. Just send us an email with your request.

Will my fabrics look the same as they do on the screen?

Due to the differences in monitors, we can't guarantee that you'll see exactly the same color or shade that we see. So we try to make our descriptions as accurate as possible. But if you are trying for an exact match, please ask for a swatch.

Can we visit your shop when we are in Hawaii?

We are an on-line only shop but when you visit the Big Island of Hawaii, you can purchase a variety of our own hand dyed fat quarters, 10" squares, half yards and the occasional 1 yard piece at TOPSTITCH, the local quilt shop in Waimea. If you need directions you can call the shop at 885-4482. Besides beautiful fabric and quilting notions, Topstitch carries locally made Hawaiian quilts and pillows, patterns and other high quality items made by local craftsmen. Her shop is well worth a visit and she is open 9:30-4:30 Monday-Friday and 9:30-1:00 on Saturday.
