On May 11, 2002 we held our 4th Annual walk a thon at Cresent Lake in St. Petersburg. We had students and staff from the Carlos Albizu University in Miami. Kim Spaide held a batten disease awareness softball game in Miami as well. We again sold Hersey Kiss rose buds for the holidays and have sold the Batten bear, bears all through the chapter.

Robbie Benson agreed to be our National Spokesperson in 1999. He came to our yearly conference to do a public service announcement and meet our children. He fell in love with them as they did with him. They got to have their picture taken with him and he gave them a stuffed beast doll. In 2001 both Robbie and his wife Carla attended the conference in Chicago and shared some happy memories with the families. Thank You Robbie.
