I started doing lighting for the band Lucifer in 1970.
In the 70's we pretty much had to build the lighting equipment and controls ourselves.
I was using Slide & Movie Projectors with Color Wheels, Polarizing Wheels, Lumia Reflectors & Liquid Slides.
With Strobes, Blacklights, Mirror Balls, and a few 500 watt 6" Fresnels, we created a visual background for the music.
After graduating from Freedom in 1971, while attending NCACC,
I hooked up with Media 5 Entertainment / Extensions of Man Productions where I got to light dozens of bands.
I did shows at Saylors Lake, Blue Valley Auditorium, Shiver's, NCACC, Lehigh, and other venues.
I also did a number of shows with an Easton band , Union Pacific Rock.
For most of those shows my lighting crew was,
Gary Achey (Class of 71 - Freedom) and MaryEllen Kovak (Class of 72 - Liberty)
Gary is currently residing in Allentown,
and MaryEllen and I are still together after 30 years,
living in Orangevale, California, 100 miles east of San Francisco.
