With all of the digital music news, it has been moved to it's own section. That page is now located here, where you will also find some very helpful downloads and information about mp3 and other audio formats.

I received a nice(!?) letter from the BSA (Business Software Alliance) that says to make sure I have licenses for all the software for my "virtual" business. The EFF (Electronic Frontiers Foundation) legal consultant I've talked to said the BSA is now also going after individuals. Is this just another scare tactic from the Hollywood/Microsoft domain?

Someday the BSA will figure out that if it weren't for having uninhibited access to learn new software at home, they wouldn't have as much software demand in the corporate (paying customer) environment. My company has bought over $1,000 worth of software because I learned how to use it at home, on sometimes "adjusted", full-function software. The typical "30 day trial" software becomes useless before you get a chance to see if it can help you.

Windows XP with Service Pack 1 Availability!
A new version of Windows XP that includes Service Pack 1 and some other goodies is now available on request. Send me an e-mail if you are interested in a cd with Windows XP Pro with SP1 (Super XP2). Because of uploading restrictions, I have made it into a single .ISO file. Super XP2 also includes a few other "adjusted" programs, Microsoft wishes they could make a cd be this useful! Almost any decent cd-writng program can burn a cd from the ISO file, and you will then have a fully bootable Windows XP w/SP1 cd that can be installed on any pc with XP compatible hardware. No license or other activation required for this full function operating system!

Windows XP users who need to make adjustments to the Product Activation key to facilitate Service Pack 1 installation will certainly like this news about suspicious Product Activation Keys. I'll just say that it has been tested on several machines and has been 100% successful.

In other words, even if you are using a pirate version (bad boy/girl!!!) of Windows XP, you can easily install the much-needed Service Pack 1 after a simple system tweak. The whole process takes about 1/2 hour, with about 25 minutes of that for Service Pack 1 installation. Service Pack 1 fixes the glaring security hole described below, amongst many other patches and bug fixes to the initial Windows XP installation.

Windows XP users should click here to fix a new VERY SERIOUS SECURITY FLAW. You can also see a demonstration of how easy it is to destroy someone's files with this exploit. Windows XP Service Pack 1 fixes this exploit.

I had to toss in this humorous(?) rant about stupid webmasters.

And a great thanks to Angus Turnbull, for providing a clean, quick script for my drop-down menus. This script and some other very cool Web page stuff can be found at Twin Helix. This script also works with the fastest browser on the Web, Opera.
