The "ULTRAJACK" raises the
outboard motor approximately 2 to 4 inches above a standard
transom mount. Turnbuckles are provided
on each side to adjust the motor to the optimum height. The shallow
running capability is greatly enhanced.
The "ULTRAJACK" shifts the motor
12 inches behind its original transom mounted position. A tapered skeg
cut from 1/4 inch aluminum plate is attached to the bottom of the
"ULTRAJACK" and centered exactly with the leading edge of
the lower unit of the motor. It terminates approximately 1 inch in
front of the lower unit of the motor. The skeg either parts debris and
vegetation so that it passes harmlessly past one side or the other of
the propeller or else it depresses larger obstructions downward to
pass under the foot of the motor. The skeg goes a long way in
protecting the lower section of the motor should a tree stump, log, or
large rock be encountered.
Most Southwest Louisiana marshes that are
open for fishing or hunting limit outboard motor size to a maximum of
40 horsepower. Our standard "ULTRAJACK" takes a 40 HP motor
with tiller steering and standard drive shaft as well as all lower HP
motors with standard drive shafts. We can accommodate larger motors
and long shaft motors on request.
With each "ULTRAJACK" sold we
furnish the necessary plastic tubing, clips, and rivets to route the
motor's tell-tale water stream to a point in the boat forward of the
operator so that he can see the little water stream at all times and
know that his water pump is performing properly . This is very cheap
insurance against damaging the water pump.
Each "ULTRAJACK" comes with trim
tabs built on for trimming the boat out for top performance.
"ULTRAJACKS" are made from 6061
grade aluminum plate and 18-8 stainless bolts.
A stainless steel propeller is required
with the 'following' edges of the blades 'cupped'. The cost of having
a propeller 'cupped' is very small.
The price of an "ULTRAJACK" is $425
FOB Lake Charles, La.
We also produce the ULTRAJACK T-BOY model.
It sets your motor back only 9 1/2 inches and does not include the
built in trim tabs. It is performing very well in our local marshes.
Due to the reduced material and labor we
can sell it for $300
FOB Lake Charles, Louisiana.
