Southbound Outfitters offers some of the finest turkey hunting that you will ever participate in. We offer fully guided hunts for big Rio Grande Gobblers and our land is a turkey magnet bar none! We offer two seperate leases, both with excellent numbers and quality of birds. With endless crop fields and excellent roost sites we hold birds year-round on our properties. The last 3 years has seen a dramatic increase in the number of birds and it's not uncommon early in the season to see groups of 80-100 birds on the different properties. Our 2003 and 2004 spring seasons were highly successful with 11 birds being harvested both years. The largest bird went 23 pounds with a 10 inch beard and 1 3/4 inch spurs. On several occasions we had as many as 13 toms coming to the decoys at once and the majority of our birds are taken at less than 15 yards. Southbound Outfitters offers fully guided 2 day Rio Grande Turkey hunts over the course of 4 weekends with excellent success rates. We are located in prime turkey country and will do everything in our power to get you up close and personal with one of our big gobblers. We pride ourselves on the quality of our birds and in the fact that you will see good numbers of mature birds while hunting with us. Our two day Rio Grande hunts are limited to two hunters per weekend and are designed to give each hunter the best possible chance at successful harvest of a big Oklahoma gobbler! Oklahoma, especially northwest Oklahoma, is now one of the premier destinations in the country for Rio Grande populations. Hunts are 2:1 or 1:1 guided and both leases are in two bird counties.
