Lambing time is an exciting time on the farm. New lambs mean extra work though.

Here is a ewe who has new triplet lambs. Most ewes have only one or two lambs, but sometimes they have more. This black ewe had one black lamb, one spotted lamb and one white lamb.

Most ewes try to be good mothers and take good care of all the lambs they have.

It does not take the lambs very long to learn how to drink milk.

During cold weather we put the baby lambs in a small pen with their mother so they won't get lost from her.

Some ewes have only one lamb.

Lambs stay close to their mother in the large pastures. They stay with her for several months.

Sometimes, ewes do not have enough milk for their lambs. We give the lambs milk in a bottle.

Lambs that are raised on a bottle like attention.
