This is the story of Junior. He was born on our farm. You can see how he grew up in the pictures below. Junior was born one cold January night. His
mother was a champion black ewe. His sister was all
white. Junior looked like his father. He weighed
eight pounds. Junior won a blue ribbon at the state fair in
August when he was seven months old and weighed 125
pounds by then. See his horns. Junior weighed 150 pounds by October and was a
champion. The next spring, Junior weighed about 225
pounds. He was just over one year old. This is Junior when he was 6 years old. He had
just been sheared. He weighed about 250 pounds.
Junior had many sons and daughters by then. |
