Brrrrrrr. Its not always sunny and green on a sheep farm. Winter time is when sheep get extra care. Because sheep have a lot of wool during the
winter, cold weather does not bother them very
much. Sheep seem to enjoy being out in the snow on a
sunny day. However, they cannot graze when it is snowy, so
they are fed extra hay. Hay is dried grass and the sheep will eat a lot
of it on wintry days. Sometimes the sheep even lay down in the snow
instead of going into the barn. |
