Meet Michael K. Johnson, superb pilot, and a natural
Pulsar Driver.
| On August 20th, 1999, Michael took
possession of 456LT, or Southwind as I affectionately named her. We had a
great time spending flight hours and systems familiarization time through the weekend, and
then Michael flew 6LT home to North Carolina. |

As Michael and the Pulsar lifted off, I sat on a golf cart halfway down runway 03 and
snapped a picture. As I watched the plane depart quickly into the quiet morning air, tears
streamed down my face. The fact was, I had spent nearly four years attached to this
wonderful airplane, and now I was feeling the loss deeply.

So, why did I sell my plane?
Simple. Ready for a new and different building project! Could I afford to keep my Pulsar
AND build another? No. Choices. Decisions. Tough choices and decisions.
However, the way things came together since the phone call from Michael in
early August was as if it was meant to be. When Michael took the stick during his demo
flight the plane responded as if he had 40 hours flight time in it. All of the
arrangements flowed easily, and the familiarization time after closing was blessed with
smooth weather and fun hours going over all of the aircraft systems.
Good luck Michael! May you be graced with clear skies, smooth cruising, and rewarding
adventures.
