First, Let us agree that marriage is not a piece of paper! To a Christian, we know that it can only be "What God joins together". Does God join all couples? Of course not. So there has to be guidelines as to what constitutes Godly Marriage. Will God join a man with a harlot? in adultery? believer with unbeliever? light and darkness? unequally join them together? For those who know the Word, the answer is clearly NO! Yet many will still hold a person obligated to have been married who were in these types of legal or otherwise marriages. None of these examples constitutes Holy Matrimony.

Secondly, let's see what Bro. Branham taught; MARRIAGE.AND.DIVORCE.title JEFF.IN V-3 N-13 65-0221M
45-2 096 "...What God has joined together, let no man put asunder... Not what man joined together, what God joined together.
When you got a direct revelation from God that's your wife and the same thing, that's yours the rest of your life. See? But what man joins together anybody can put apart. But what God joins together no man better dare to touch it. Whatsoever God joins together, He said, let no man put asunder. Not what some half-drunk magistrate, or something else put together, or some backslidden preacher with a bunch of creeds in a book that'd let them do anything in the world and the Word of God laying right there. See? I'm talking about what God joined together".
Therefore just because someone has a license or was married in a church, does NOT make it Holy Matrimony!

Conclusion, According to Hebrews 7, Bro. Branham could not have been restoring Levitical laws to the 5-fold ministry. HEBREWS 7:11
11 ¶ If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need [was there] that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
HEBREWS 7:12
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
HEBREWS 7:13
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
HEBREWS 7:14
14 For [it is] evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
HEBREWS 7:15
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
HEBREWS 7:16
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
So ministers can marry widows and be remarried as our Lord divorced Israel and married a Gentile Bride!
I believe each case should be investigated out by the Elders of the local church, to see if each marriage is "What God joins together", as a case maybe of a brother or sister having been previously legally married, but not lawfully by the Word married, and therefore free to be married! I know that may shock you, but if its not of God, then you are not really married! Truly only Christian marriages are of God. God is the Word, so only Word marriages are of Him. This is the Word of God for our day. You might say only true BRIDE marriages are recognized by God! Maybe it would be good for all couples to rededicate their marriage vows in Word of the Hour churches if you haven't already? Do not be too quick to judge those who may have been previously involved in relationships not of God, that re-marry! It must be studied case by case by Elders familiar with each situation. You may disagree, but each church is free! No Creed but Christ, No Law but Love and No book but the Bible!

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

A Sister may have been legally married in her past, but not what God joined together. Therefore she is free to marry only in the Lord! Please leave your comments on my guestbook under the Contacts page. God Bless You!
