Buddies Pro Shop, located at Nutmeg Bowl in Fairfield, CT, has been a major supporter and sponsor of the Junior Bowlers Tour for many years. Owner Chris Forry, an 11-time JBT champion, has followed in the footsteps of his father Paul in providing expert service at very competitive prices. Along with on-the-spot service (the JBT visits Nutmeg Bowl three times a season), Buddies Pro Shop can also take care of bowlers' needs by mail. The Buddies Pro Shop Open, one of the most famous and prestigious junior tournaments in the country is sponsored by www.BuddiesProShop.com. Buddies also sponsors the Buddies Pro Shop Bowler-of-the-Year awards for the Junior Bowlers Tour.
The
JBT welcomes Etonic as a returning sponsor for the 2007-08 season. Etonic is the
sponsor of the Etonic Bowler-of-the-Month, which will lead to an
end-of-the-year roll-off at the JBT Challenge Tournament. Each month, the bowler
with the most points in JBT competition (in each conference, scratch & handicap)
will be named Etonic Bowler-of-the-Month. In addition, Etonic will offer a $50
scholarship for each bowler who wins a JBT event while wearing Etonic bowling
shoes and the Etonic patch on their shirt (which we will provide).
www.Etonic.com has
also donated bowling shoes to our tournament raffle, which will be included at
various events throughout the season. Click here for
further details.

NEW SPONSOR:
The Junior Bowlers Tour is happy to announce that
www.BowlingBlvd.com has joined us as a
sponsor. This is a social networking site just for bowlers which provides an
easy way to stay in touch with your fellow bowlers from across the country.
Thanks to the many national junior bowling tournaments as well as the college
tournaments around the country, it has become easier to meet and make friends in
bowling. This is a new site designed to allow you to keep up with the latest
events in our sport. Visit the website and give it a try!
JBT RESULTS
The JBT currently has five conferences (New Jersey, New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware Valley)
and covers nine states, conducting tournaments on a weekly basis. Approximately 120 tournaments are conducted during the season, with the results published in the JBT News, which is available at each tournament.
ENTRY BLANKS AND RULES
Entry blanks for upcoming events and the general rules of the Junior Bowlers Tour are available
on this web site. Rules on several optional programs which offer additional
scholarship opportunities are also
available. Any additional information which may be needed can be obtain by contacting the JBT though e-mail or telephone.
JBT LEADERS
Each conference maintains a point standings for all bowlers, (in both, the scratch and the handicap
division), which are earned based on the bowler's final position finish in each event. These point
standings help determine eligibility for special events, as well as helping to determine the
end-of-the-season award winners.
JBT UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The JBT season begins in mid-September and continues
through the following August. Along with the standard one-day singles events, the JBT
offers special events such as Adult-Junior Tournaments, The Thanksgiving Classic,
the Super-Match Game Tournament, the JBT Masters Tournament, the Buddies Pro
Shop Open, the Conference Invitational Tournaments, The Nerve-Wracker, the Las Vegas Open and the JBT Challenge Tournament.
JBT HONOR ROLL
The high-scoring accomplishments of JBT bowlers will be located on the Honor Roll page. High games, high
series and high tournament totals deserve to be recognized, and that will be done here. Many of the
best junior bowlers in the world compete in the JBT and the scores they produce prove it.
JBT SCHOLARSHIP INFO
The Junior Bowlers Tour has awarded more scholarship money than any tournament
organization in the world. During the 2006-07 season, the JBT broke the six
figure mark for the eleventh consecutive year in
scholarship money awarded with a total of $170,634. As of September 1, 2007 the JBT
has awarded a total of $1,768,818.
JBT LAS VEGAS OPEN

JBT HISTORY
The Junior Bowlers Tour is now in it's 33rd season. Much has happened over the
years, with many of the top pros and collegiate bowlers from the east getting their start or testing their skills in the JBT events. A
season-by-season recap will highlight some of the events of the past.

*** IMPORTANT ***
With the start of the 2006-07 season, the Junior Bowlers Tour and almost every large tournament group in the country has elected not to have their events USBC-certified. The rings for honor scores are no longer being awarded by the USBC and they are requiring that all certified events deposit their scholarship money with them. This would cost the JBT scholarship fund a huge amount of interest, based on their "administrative fees" and their investing practices. The JBT would lose the Challenge Tournament, the Masters and some other events that are funded by the interest earned throughout the year. We are not willing to sacrifice those events.
There have been some FALSE RUMORS circulating that bowling in the JBT would make you ineligible for USBC-certified events or for college bowling. This, of course, is NOT TRUE. As long as we do not break any of their eligibility rules (which we won't), this will not happen. Almost all high school leagues and tournaments throughout the country are not certified and there are many uncertified leagues and tournaments. THIS BREAKS NO RULES; YOU ARE IN NO JEOPARDY!
The people spreading these rumors are uneducated in the rules of junior bowling. We have been running the JBT for 33 years and would never jeopardize our bowlers in any way. If anyone has any questions regarding this matter, feel free to contact us at JBTBoss1@aol.com or (973) 423-3339. This invitation is also extended to those people who are spreading these rumors....give us a call and we'll clear up whatever has confused you.
PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ON TO YOUR FELLOW BOWLERS. We do not want them to miss out on bowling in Junior Bowlers Tour tournaments because they have been given incorrect information by misguided individuals who do not understand the rules.
Feel free to contact the Junior Bowlers Tour at any time with questions, suggestions, etc.
