This set was sold at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown from 1950 to 1956. The card features Hall of Fame inductees and contain an extensive biography of the player or baseball pioneer on the back.
Like many older sets, not all cards were printed in equal quantities. In the case of the Callahan set, this stems from the fact that the set was printed over several years. Players who were inducted between 1952 and 1956 are harder to find since they weren't being produced during the set's entire run.
There are 82 different cards in this set, and presently I have about 68 of them. Most of the ones I'm missing are players who entered the Hall after 1950. These cards are surprisingly inexpensive, with "commons" running $3 or so in Mint condition.
