Maigan's Perpetual Prayer Request

Listed here are abbreviated request for prayers received. These prayers are remembered daily in conjunction with the Liturgy of the Hours according to the Roman Rite, which is said daily following the "ORDO of the American Cassinese Congregation O.S.B.," published by St. John's Abbey, Collegeville, Minnesota, and at all of the Masses we attend. You are encouraged to make offering daily prayers, morning, evening and night, a part of your life. Visit the Liturgy of the Hours or the ORDO link and look over these web sites'. You DO NOT have to be a Catholic to say the daily prayers provided. Start YOUR day off with organized prayer, lifting your hearts, raising your voice, minds and soul to God. Your day will be so much better and brighter!

The simple reason for the abbreviated prayer requests is because we will never use real names on this site. We will use initials for privacy. A synopsis of the prayer request is displayed. God and the person asking knows their heart and intent! As new prayers arrive they will be added to the list. If you do not see your prayer request within 72 hours, please let us know. So that we might keep this page current, we would also encourage you to let us know if your prayers was answered.

If you have a prayer request, click on the scroll below and send an email to us. We will add your request pronto!. If you are requesting a prayer for a particular person, it would be helpful to us if you would provide us with the name or initials of that person. Regardless ALL prayers will be added.

As Christians we believe in miracle's and prayer. It is the legacy handed on to us by the Lord Jesus. Remember that once Jesus had trained his disciples he sent them out in pairs to cure the sick and drive out demons (Lk 9:1-6). They, like the Lord, became miracle workers. Jesus worked his miracles "out of compassion" (Lk 7:13). Jesus wanted to show us that our God was a personal God, and genuinely kind and loving.

The first step to asking for a miracle is to believe deeply in the power of Jesus. Jesus always demanded that an initial faith be present before he performed a miracle (Mt 21:22). The miracle would then deepen, strengthen, and stablize this faith. The second step is to be tireless in your asking. St. Luke's section on prayer in chapter 11 (1-13) promises success for those who keep knocking on God's door. The final step is to accept whatever the Lord gives. Perhaps the Lord has greater plans for you than you might know or fathom.

The Lord's greatest miracle for us is the Eucharist. Here would be the proper place to lay your request before the Lord!

We also recommend that the Rosary be said daily especially for those below who have asked for your prayers. What better way than to ask for the intercession of The Lord's Mother. Go here if you do not know how.

EBC - pray for me and my family that we may find some way for me to become gainfully employed using this computer.

DS - Please pray for us, that God will relieve the burden of grief that hangs heavily upon my children, that we all may find peace.

G - At that time I will be sentenced to a jail or probation term. I just need prayers for the courage and serenity that God and his angel are walking with me.

MH - 9 year old nephew born with Truncus. Having complications.

BMJ - For guidance, wisdom and knowledge.

R - For her 13 year old daughter caught up in state bureaucracy and red tape which is preventing her from receiving the necessary medical help. 

K- 6 years old boy and total vent and dependant. Has a g-tube for eating, all of his skelatal muscles are destroyed and replaced with fatty tissue.  This is a rare form of muscular dsytrophy.

J - 7 year old boy with Truncus Arteriosus. Needs your prayers!

RsV - Had Truncus Arteriosus Operation. Needs your prayers!

AL - Has brain cancer!

D - That the Holy Spirit will come into her and her husbands life so they will once again become one!

D & A - About to lose their home. Pray that they find assistance & strength to carry on.

DR - For granddaughter born on Sept. 12, l998 with Cri du Chat Syndrome (5P-Syndrome) and her mother and brother. That the Holy Spirit will come into their lives and give them wisdom, understanding, faith, peace, comfort and love.   

D&RL - For their son who has duplication of chromosome 19, he has a heart defect, tetrology of fallot, seizures, kidney failure, CP, he is g-tube fed, and has the biggest, warmest, most wonderful smile and hugs in the world!

D - For a friend who is living through a tremendously difficult time right now and is experiencing a whole lot of emotional suffering.  May God give him aid and comfort and let him know that God really loves him.

JG - 52 year old diabetic and had a stroke. Unable to continue his Eucharistic ministry or assist at Mass. Just like Job, may God give him and his family aid and comfort.

PS - Please pray for the unborn grandchild who has been diagnosed with Truncus.

NB - 30 year old and has colorectal cancer with mets to both lungs, prostate, etc.  Please pray for a miracle for him - that he will be healed in body and soul.

SPECIAL NOTICE - To all who sent in prayer request from 20 November 2001 until today 15 May 2002. We have just received about 70 such request. We received them today, 15 May 2002 because our mail service at Catholic.Org quit/stopped forwarding email to primary email accounts and did not let the primary email account know about it. Instead they posted to the very same account that was not forwarded. Consequently, we were concerned that we were not receiving prayer request and contacted Catholic.Org and found out the problem. We logged onto our Catholic.org account and found the emails. We are very sorry for the inconvenience placed on you but you can be absolutely certain of two things: (1) The third person of the Blessed Trinity aided you in making your request and the first and second person of the Blessed Trinity, God and Jesus, has heard you, and (2) We will be making special prayer request to all those who asked.

We have corrected our mailing address to our primary email account and should have no further problems. If you would like to resubmit your request for a personal reply/response to you, please feel free to do so at your leisure! We have made it a practice to answer all prayer request in a timely manner.
