I work in Dugway, Utah for Jacobs Engineering. The team provides professional and technical support to Dugway Proving Ground, where chemical and biological defense equipment is tested. From 2004-2006 I worked for Hamilton Sundstrand, a company that makes sensitive detectors for traces of chemicals, serving commercial military and homeland security markets. I helped to found Syagen Technology, writing software to control explosive detectors for similar markets.
In my home life, I married Barbara Biela, a pathologist who originally came from Poland. We have a lovely and smart daughter Maggie born in 2001!
