The Culver City Unified School District (C.C.U.S.D.) has a long tradition of educational excellence and high standards. The residential and business communities are involved, supportive and proud of its schools, donating hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to guarantee their success.  A stunning 80% of the community recently passed a $40 million bond issue to repair and renovate school facilities.  Clearly, community support in Culver City is unparalleled.

The city itself is known as the "Heart of Screenland," a 4.98 square-mile incorporated city recognized internationally for its motion picture studios, its pleasant climate, not surprisingly, for its school system.

Culver City's 39,000+ residents live in one of Southern California's finest towns, situated close to the mountains, the beach and the desert, while maintaining a unique hometown feel in the midst of a major metropolitan area that provides a host of cultural, sporting, dining and recreational opportunities.

There are approximately 6,800+ students who attend one of our five K-5 elementary schools, a middle (6-8), a senior high school (9-12), or our continuation high school. The District also has Adult Education and Child Development Programs, as well as numerous other programs designed to meet individual student needs.

The district's 250 certificated and 235 non-certificated staff members are dedicated, caring professionals.   Every teacher is fully credentialed by the State of California and nearly two-thirds have masters or doctoral degrees.
