GAMEBOY CODES AND CHEATS

NEW!!! TONS OF CODES: MISSINGNO, GLITCH CITY (WHICH WORKS IN THE YELLOW VERSION), CLONE POKÉMON WITHOUT GAMESHARK IN THE GOLD/SILVER, FIND A ROCKET TRAINER WHILE SWIMMING, AND MANY MORE!

NOTE: The east coast of Cinnabar Island (in the red/blue versions) is a strange place where a lot of the codes occur, such as the Missingno, Glitch City, Safari Zone, and the "guy on the gym roof) codes. Here, you can see Pokémon from the place you just came from.

CODES AND CHEATS: As you may all ready know, the goal is to catch all 251 Pokémon. Sometimes errors or mistakes can be made in the making. Maybe some chain reactions are made during a process of things done over and over again, or maybe it's just that people were testing things when the game was made.

But we do know is that these codes won't be put in most guidebooks (of coarse!).That's why it's a secret. So have fun with these strange codes and see what happens when you try them. I have tried all codes listed. None of them are lies, like many other codes on the internet. Some may be small codes, like standing on a bush, and some may be big, like Missingno. and Glitch City. But the thing we really want you to know is that these codes are done WITHOUT Gameshark or any other cheat devices -- they are all built-in codes! And, newly added, a SUPER COOL CODE for GOLD AND SILVER VERSIONS WITHOUT Gameshark!!!

HERE'S NEW FOTAGE... (BELOW NEW FOTAGE IS MISSINGNO)

DUPLICATE POKÉMON IN GOLD/SILVER

WOW! The first Gold/Silver code ever discovered!! You can now duplicate really rare Pokémon like Mew and trade them for other rare Pokemon! So, how do you do it? First, stand right in front of a PC without pressing the A button. Save the game. After saving, now press the A button. Deposit the Pokémon you want to clone or duplicate in a Box. Then change the box to an empty box. Now here is the important part. It says, "Would you like to overwrite your data?" because you have to save always when you change a box. Say YES to overwriting and when it is in the middle of the process of saying the word SAVING, Turn off the game immediately. Make sure no more then SAVING appears. Turn back on the game, and look in your party. The Pokémon that you put in your box will be in your party! And, look in your box, and the same Pokémon in your party will also be in your box! COOL!!!

WARNING: ONLY DO THIS CODE IN GOLD, SILVER, AND CRYSTAL VERSIONS (AND IN NO OTHER VERSIONS.)

(Don't forget that if the Pokémon you duplicated is holding an item, the item will ALSO get duplicated. EVEN BETTER!!)

MISSINGNO

Who and what Missingno? (Picture Below.)

Missingno is a glitch mess-up in the game but he's more of a NON-hazardous virus: a bug in the game. Missingno is widely known as the "Enigma Pokémon".

Missingno will put a virus in your game, but not permanently. I have heard that Missingno will erase your game-- that is NOT true! If you catch Missingno, everything will be the same-- but if you look at Missingno's stats, then your graphics will get weird for a little while, then go back to normal. This is how you run into Missingno: First, fly to Northern Viridian City. There, ask the old man with the coffee. Tell him 'NO' one or more times. Then, fly to Cinnabar Island. Swim or SURF along the east coast (of Cinnabar Island) so it looks like you're half on land and half on water. Keep surfing up and down the east coast until you run into a Pokémon. If it's Missingno, the screen will be black for 3 seconds because the game is all confused. Then you run into him-- Missingno (He looks like a backward Utah only taller). Then, if you battle it and catch it, it'll put a temporary virus in the game. Once you run into Missingno, your Pokemon Hall of Fame will be messed up permanently (that doesn't really matter--the Pokemon Hall of Fame is not accentual to your game). There is also another type of Missingno known as 'M which is the exact same thing only more messed up. This is what his stats look like:

'M's stats are very low because he is usually at Level 0. As you can see, he is No. 000 just like Missingno, and when you look at his stats, his picture will NOT appear (just like Missingno). See those weird blocks next to 'M's name? Those are glitch boxes that appear that change all the time. That's why 'M commonly referred to as 'M Block 'M is usually a lot weaker than Missingno since it appears at level 0 a lot, but 'M looks exactly like Missingno. If you catch 'M and use a rare candy on it, it will evolve into a Kangaskhan. It will also evolve into a Kangaskhan if it is captured and gains experience points. This is one rumor that happens to be true. To stop it from evolving into Kangaskhan, just press B repeatedly. Evolution of the elusive 'M occurs at level 1.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you used Ditto and transformed into Missingno? Well, I've tried it and it's quite odd. First of all, you'll be looking at the back of Missingno instead of the front (the back of Missingno's head is a random block of static)! You'll also be able to see Missingno's head if you catch it. If you catch Missingno you can use its attacks (below), or you can use its attacks by simply transforming into it with a ditto. But using Missingno is really cool once you catch it!

AMAZING FACTS ABOUT MISSINGNO!

Unlike all Pokémon, Missingno has 2 elements: Bird and Normal (for some reason, one of Missingno's types is bird, NOT flying. Therefore, it is a type that is unique to Missingno.)

Here's a cool trick: have a master ball, rare candy, nugget, or any other item you desire, as your sixth item. Then battle Missingno. After battling him, you'll have a glitch-like symbol next that item. That means you have about 150 of them! If you keep doing this tricks on nuggets you'll get rich, if you do it on rare candies your Pokémon can easily get to level 100 and if you do it on a master ball you'll be able to catch any Pokémon without difficulty. There's even a way to get 2 Bikes by doing this trick.

Missingno is #000. No wonder he's called Missingno. It means "Missing Number"! Missingno looks like a bunch of stuck-together dots. After battling Missingno, all the Pokémon around you may be level 100 and higher. Once you catch Missingno and look at its stats, the rest of the trainers and wild Pokémon you encounter will be backwards. For example:

Not only will Pokémon temporarily be backwards after look at Missingno or M's stats, but trainers will be backwards. Sometimes trainers, Pokémon, and even yourself can get sliced up in glitch both in battle and in the area that shows the badges you've collected. But don't worry: those glitches WILL go away after a while.

When you look at Pokémon in your party there's always a little moving figure next to each Pokémon's name. Missingno's figure changes depending on which city or town you're in. For example, in Cinnabar Island Missingno's figure looks like a man / blob (see picture below), in the Indigo Plateau he looks like a women, and in Fuschia City he looks like an old man / fossil. Missingno looks like a wishbone when it is in the yellow version (see next paragraph).

The funniest part of catching Missingno is trading it into the YELLOW VERSION! I HAVE TRIED IT! First of all, the Yellow version is a glitch-free game, so I thought it would be interesting to trade a glitch into a glitch-free game. Know what happens? Missingno's name turns into a bunch of gibberish! I'm not sure what Missingno's number is but I did trade an 'M and its number was #176 in the yellow version! And instead of looking like a backward Utah, Missingno / 'M looks like a vertical rectangle (you can only see this when you have a yellow version and are looking at a Blue player's game on game-link battle and the Blue player has the Missingno.). Plus, when the Missingno or 'M is traded into the yellow version, his level goes down by 10 levels. This is a mystery I've been trying to solve for a long time. One thing I haven't tried that might be cool would be if 'M was at Level 0 (like he sometimes is) and trading him into Yellow. Would he be Level negative 10?

Another thing I tried to do was to trade Missingno and 'M into the Gold and Silver versions. First I went into the trading booth (I was had my old blue version and I was getting ready to trade with my new Silver version in the time capsule). I pressed both the buttons, and it said WATING. Then, you know how you can look at the other person's Pokemon's stats right before you trade? Well, I did that with Missingno and 'M. Missingno looked like a Tyrogue (#236) and 'M looked like a Slowpoke. I tried trading them but then in the Silver version it said "You friend's Tyrogue (really a Missingno) appears to be abnormal" or, "Your friend's Slowpoke (really 'M) appears to be abnormal." In this manner, Missingno and 'M cannot be traded into the Gold and Silver versions.

Missingno's attacks are 2 water guns and a sky attack (the screen is continually changing):

The only known TMs it can learn are TM01 (Mega Punch), TM05 (Mega Kick), TM02 (Razor Wind), TM14 (Blizzard), and TM49 (Tri Attack). We do know that 'M or Missingno CAN NOT learn TM23 (Dragon Rage), TM15 (Hyper Beam), and TM50 (Substitute). They have been tested. The only known HMs he can learn are HM02 (Fly) and HM01 (cut).

If you catch it, it does not appear on you're Pokédex. His levels can be from Level 0 to Level 80 to Level 136! If you have a rare candy as your sixth item when you run into Missingno you'll have about 150 of that item, so if you catch a Missingno that is OVER level 100, theoretically you could keep evolving the Missingno to a higher level forever by giving it rare candies. However, I tried this one out by catching a level 136 Missingno. I kept feeding it rare candy over and over until finally after getting it to level 255 it went back to level 0.

A theory is that Nintendo was trying out things in the game when it was being made. Missingno was accidentally left in the game, and since all of those things that Nintendo were trying out, Missingno has all of Nintendo's try-outs all together. That's why when you catch it, it kind of makes you're game go backwards in the making of the game. But some say that back when there were only 3 legendary birds Missingno was the 4th one that was left out. Also, some say that there were supposed to be more than 151 Pokémon in the game but for whatever reason only 151 Pokémon were put in, so the "missing spots" were taken by "Missingnos". Another theory is that Missingno was deliberately put in by the game by developers while the game was still being made to help them in testing (like getting a whole ton of items.)

Whatever Missingno is, and for whatever reason it exists, it's a mysterious, neglected "Enigma Pokémon" that deserves some examination and thought.

For information on how Missingno relates to the Pokémon Stadium (both 1 and 2), go to the bottom of this page, or go to the of the very bottom of the Pokémon Stadium 2 section of this site.

(PLEASE NOTE: The Missingno. Code does not happen in Yellow, Gold or Silver. You can trade Missingno ('M, too!) into the Yellow version, but not for Gold and Silver.)

    GLITCH CITY

This is a really neat code! So the code begins...

This is a code no one knows about. It is a really good code, and more people should know about it. The following is only informative about the Red/Blue Glitch City. The one in the yellow version is totally different. Glitch City is best done in this 8-Step process...

1.Go into the Safari Zone entrance building, and when the guy says, "It's 500$ dollars to enter, would you like to come in", say YES.

2. Then go into the first rest house you encounter. Talk to the guy with the glasses once. Then leave early by going out the main entrance of the Safari Zone.

3.When the guy says, "Leaving early?" say NO. You will be sent back out. Don't make a move.

4. After doing this, leave early again, and when the guy says, "Leaving early?", say NO again.

5. Once you are back in the Safari Zone, save the game, turn it off, then turn it back on. After this, leave early again.

6. Once you leave early again, this is when the first glitch appears. Instead of the guy saying, "Leaving early", he says, "It's 500$ to enter. Would you like to come in?" When he says this, say NO.

7.From here, you will be sent back into Fuchsia. Pretty normal 'eh? Well the codes' not over! Once in Fuchsia, fly to Cinnabar Island. Then surf up and down the east coast (you will not find Missingno, instead you will run into Safari Pokémon. See the Safari cheat below for more information.) Now this may take about ten minutes, but it works. The amount of time you have to catch Pokémon in the Safari Zone is 500 steps, and it will be on Cinnabar Island! Remember, it takes 500 steps until time's up, so if you'd like to keep track, just count 500 steps (remember, keep on going up and down Cinnabar, and if you'd like, you can put the timer on for 10 minutes). And when you run into Safari Pokemon, just run away. It doesn't change anything. Use repel if you want to. (Trust me, it does work!)

As you can see, the "Ding-Dong" that normally goes off in the Safari Zone happens off Cinnabar.

8. After 500 steps, you will hear a "Ding-Dong" just like you hear in the Safari Zone when you run out of time only it's on Cinnabar Island. You will automatically be transported to the Safari Zone entrance building, and then leave the building. You will be in Glitch City!

After leaving the Safari Building, you'll be in Glitch City.

When you are in Glitch City, don't go too far to the left of the right. You will get stuck in invisible walls. You also have a chance to swim on land and walk on water! This is by far the most interesting code. In the red/blue version, if you go left to the hedge in Glitch City and jump over it, you will come to "checkered water". Go to the top left square, go left one space and then right one. You will be stuck, but you can surf. This is how to surf on land. If you head straight east or north, eventually you will get to the game's limits and it will shut off. Just turn the game on again and you will be returned to the last place you saved. The only way to get out of glitch city is to fly out, so if you save, make absolutely sure you have a Pokemon that knows how to fly, or you will be stuck in glitch city forever.

In the red and blue version Glitch City, this is the "checkered-water" you will come to.

(CHALLENGE: After you leave the safari entrance building (when you are about to fly to Cinnabar Island), you can fly to another place. Flying to Lavender Town, route 17 (the bike route), or several other places during the trick will trigger a totally different glitch city. If you go to the Bike Route on step 7, there'll be a Glitch City but one in which you walk down automatically, like the bikes! However, the Glitch City resulting from Cinnabar's coast allows you to walk around more than in any other discovered glitch city.)

Remember: Glitch City Works in the Yellow version!!!

GLITCH ROCKET TRAINER

I discovered this extremely strange code quite recently. (There are 6 pictures of it below.) It was in the blue version and before I had gotten to the Pokémon league. I used a Pokémon to fly, did the Missingno trick by talking to the man with the coffee, and went to the Cinnabar coast expecting to see Missingno, but instead I ran into a Team Rocket trainer! I ran into him while I was using SURF (or swimming).

The first Pokémon he let out was a Pokémon whose name was a bunch of gibberish (see top-left picture below.) He was level 32 and pretty easy to beat. The second Pokémon was a strange Nidoran. It's name was gibberish and I happened to have a Ditto so I transformed into it (see second top-center picture below). After transforming, I checked to see what moves it had. The transformed Ditto had tackle, horn attack, razor wind and TM42. (See top-right picture below.) Not knowing what TM42 was I used it, and my Pokémon self-destructed but didn't lose any power! Then the game glitched and went blank. I shut off the game, turned it back on, went up and down the coast again and ran into Rocket, this time I beat the 1st and 2nd Pokémon, and the 3rd Pokémon he let out was a Missingno. At this point I wanted to get out of the battle because it was starting to creep me out. So I chose "run" but then a message came up and said, "No! There's no running from a trainer battle!" just like in any normal battle. (See the bottom-left picture below.) What was interesting about this was that this was the first time I had ever seen a trainer within the game using a Missingno. The Missingno was level 32 and I defeated him in one attack with a Blastoise. The 4th Pokemon he let out was a block of Glitch, just like the first Pokémon. (See bottom-center picture below). I switch to Ditto and copied the block. The attacks were scratch and leer (See bottom-right picture below.) With one scratch the block fainted. The 5th Pokémon he let out was a strange Flareon, and I knocked it out with Blastoise. The last Pokémon he had was one of those strange Nidorans again. This time I didn't copy it and made sure it did not use TM42, or the game would go blank again. I used surf on it with Blastoise, it fainted and I beat the trainer. The strange thing about winning the battle was that I actually got money for in and my Pokémon gained experience points.

The truth is, I'm not exactly sure how I got to this glitch. All I did was do the Missingno trick by going to Viridian city and surfing down the Cinnabar coast, except instead of finding Missingno I found this trainer. I have 3 hypotheses: One is that it appeared because I didn't go on the S.S. Anne (see the Truck code further down). The 2nd theory is the fact that I did the code before beating the Pokémon league. The third reason that this might have happened is because the game data before it was corrupted and deleted. Perhaps if you complete either all or one of the theories then this code will work for you, too.

Top-left: The first Pokémon the mysterious Rocket trainer on Cinnabar's coast unleashes is a gibberish Glitch Pokémon. Top-center: I transformed into the strange Nidoran. Top-Right: I used its attacks. Bottom-left: The second Pokémon he sends out is Missingno. You can see that I tried running but it didn't work. Bottom-Center: his fourth Pokémon is another glitch block, and I transformed into it with a ditto. Bottom-right: The attacks that are available after copying it.

  STAND ON A BUSH

Here's a cool code to do. First, cut a bush down using HM01. Then, go where the bush used to be before you cut it down and save the game. After that, turn off you're Game Boy and then turn it back on. Press continue, and then, before you're eyes, you'll be standing on a bush! If you get off the bush, you'll have to do the whole process all over again. If there are a row of trees or bushes, you can walk up and down them using this code. (Strangely, this code doesn't work in Gold and Silver.)

INVISIBLE PC

The following code only applies to the red and blue versions: Want to try something that you can't see? Well, if you do, here are the rules to get it. First, go to Celadon City. Then head towards the Celadon Hotel (incase you were wondering, the Celadon Hotel is the building at the bottom-right corner of all of Celadon City). Once you're at the Celadon Hotel, the inside structure of the hotel looks almost identical to a Pokémon Center. So then, in the Hotel, go where the PC would be in the Pokémon Center. Then, press the A button where the PC would be and poof! The PC will be on out of nowhere!

SAFARI ZONE CHEAT

This does no harm to you're game; it's perfectly fine and can even be fun at times! Here's how you do the code: First, go to the Safari Zone. As usual, walk around the Safari Zone and look for Pokémon. When you're time runs out, you will be sent back to Fuchsia City. There, fly to Cinnabar Island and swim along the east coast (using SURF or HM02). Then, you'll run into Safari Zone Pokémon on Cinnabar Island! And, you don't half to use Safari balls; rocks or bait too catch them! You can catch them normally! I tried this, and I caught a Kangaskhan using this code! Try it! (This code only works in the red, blue and yellow versions)

BIKE MUSIC WHILE WALKING

This only works at Victory Road. When you go to Victory Road, you must get to the end of the road. Using strength, move the rock. Then, get on your bicycle. Fall through the hole. Once you have fallen through, you will be back on the ground and you will be walking, but the bike music will still be playing. To make the music go away, get on your bike and get off. ! (This code only works in the red and blue versions)

GETTING MEW THE REAL WAY

There is a very good chance you will never catch Mew, the rarest Pokémon. First I got advice from my cousin Mike Diekmann. Then in my Gameboy, I originally only got the data from it from my friend Ray Krenicki (trading), but recently I caught Mew in my Gameboy at Wood Bridge Mall, New Jersey on March 4th, 2000, with my friend Aaron Rosa (he's in the dedication). I caught it on a give-away, and that may be the only way to catch Mew. For sure there will be more giveaways in the future. Another way to catch Mew is to trade with a generous Pokémon trainer who all ready has one and trade it. (who would want to trade Mew? If no one responds, your only hope is to clone it.) The codes to get Mew are NOT TRUE. There are so many lies (fake codes) on the Internet, I decided to tell the real truth without Gameshark.

The only way to get Mew is on a give-away.

MEW POKEDEX DATA:

Descriptions:

Red/Blue: So rare that it is still said to be a mirage by many experts. Only a few people have seen it worldwide. Yellow (yellow): When viewed through a microscope, this Pokémon's short, fine, delicate hair is seen.

Gold: Apparently, it appears only to those people who are pure of heart and have a strong desire to see it. Silver: Its DNA is said to contain the genetic codes of all Pokémon, so it can use all kinds of techniques. Crystal: Because it can learn any move, some people began research to see if it is the ancestor of all Pokémon.

Type: New Spices

Element: Psychic

Height: 1'04"

Weight: 9.0 lb.

NO. 151

Attacks: Pound, Transform, Mega Punch, Metronome, Psychic, AncientPower

Maybe you will get Mew someday-- if you are very lucky.

This is what Mew looks like in the Silver version.

  POKÉMON CRY CHEAT

When using a Pokémon against a wild one, make your Pokémon as weak as it can get without making it faint. The weak alarming alert will go off (it will sound like this: Ding-Dong! Ding-Dong! Ding-Dong! , As usual). Leave the wild Pokémon, then come back to another one. Make your Weak Pokémon the first Pokémon that pops up in battle. The weak alarm noise and the cry that the Pokémon makes when it begins a battle accidentally get mixed together making an extremely weird cry. (This code may work better with Pokémon with longer cries.)

INVISIBLE ITEMS!

There are 4 invisible items in the game (In the red and blue versions):

#1: Go to copycat's house in Saffron City. Go upstairs and go to her PC. Then, go right one space and go up one. Then press up and then the "A" button on the table. Then you'll get an invisible NUGGET.

#2: Go to Cerulean City and go to the guy who tells you all of the badges. Ask him about the Boulder Badge once, and then leave him. After that, go to his backyard. When you enter, go up one space, then go right 7 spaces and press "A". You will find an invisible RARE CANDY.

#3: In route 23 where the people ask you if you have the badges (before you go to Victory Road), there will be a big pool of water. In this pool, there is the woman who asks you if you have a soul badge. Somewhere near there, there will be an island. Press A at the top left corner of the island and you will find Max Elixir.

#4: At route 13, there will be a sign at the bottom-middle area. Go to the right of this remote sign and you'll find Calcium.

MAN ON GYM ROOF

Go to Cinnabar Island. If you have the secret key, deposit it. Then go up and down the east coast and immediately go to the gym's door. It's locked, but at the top-left corner, you'll see a man. (P.S. This does work, but it won't help you in the game. It also only works in the red and blue versions.)

THE TRUCK

(I have tried this). This is the truck- SS Anne Mew rumor that has been going around for along time. I have discovered that half of it is true and half of it isn't. Once you defeat Misty, trade with someone a Pokémon that already knows cut from another game. Then continue the game without going on the SS Anne and get HM02 (fly) and HM03 (surf) as you go. Once gotten both fly and surf, go back to where the SS Anne is. Go right to where the screen switches and you see the ship itself. You will be on the boardwalk that leads to the ship. Surf off to the right until you see a strip of land with a truck on it. People have said that if you move the truck with strength, you will find Mew. That is not true. There will be a truck, but no Mew. You can only observe the truck. The truck was probably something in the programming that the Pokémon developers forgot to remove. That's weird

.FISHING ON A STATUE

Here is something really strange. First, go to the Indigo Plateau. Once there, go into Lorelei's room. Don't battle her. Then, with your fishing rod, go down to the statue in the room. Face left. Then, use your rod. You will be fishing on the statue! (You can surf on the statue, too).

THE INTRUDER

Down in Pallet Town, there is a girl who walks all over the place and says, "I raise Pokémon". If you go right next to her, she can not go in the direction you are in. If you block her correctly, she can get stuck in your house. First lead her up to your house by blocking her. Then, she has a choice to go left, right, or up. If she goes up, she will go into your door. The weird thing is that she does not go in your house. She just stays there, and you can block her all you want. You can also lead her up to route 1 into the grass, and when you leave the grass, she disappears. (only works in the red and blue versions)

CATCH POKEMON EASILY

I was very doubtful of this particular code when I found out about it, but when I got around to trying it, it really did work! In the red/blue versions, when you throw a Pokéball, Greatball or Ultra ball, hold down the joystick and both the A and B buttons. There is a good chance you will catch the Pokémon you want, either little or a lot of damage. (only works in the red and blue versions)

STADIUM STRANGNESS

As said in #2 below, Missingno. (and 'M) look like substitutes. If you don't know what substitutes look like, or even what they are, I'll tell you. First of all, teach a Pokémon in red or blue versions TM50 (substitute). Upload it to Pokémon stadium, use the attack, and your Pokémon becomes a substitute. It looks like a baby Rhydon. And THATS ... what Missingno looks like. Finally, Missingno has a face.

(You must have the first Pokémon Stadium for these tricks). These are 3 Pokémon Stadium Glitches:

1. Catch or trade for a Pokémon at a higher level then 100 and put it on Pokémon Stadium (the first edition). Then Pokémon's level will not be higher then 100, it will be at 100. But the HP will be so high that it can not fit the screen. If you save the Pokémon in a stadium box, save the game, and put it back on to your game, on your Gameboy the Pokémon will look exactly the way it looked on the stadium... Level 100, with a very high HP.

2. Missingno looks like a substitute on Pokémon Stadium. Missingno is purple and 'M is blue. You can not battle with him, but you can take pictures of him in the gallery-- only thing is the photos don't even apper when developed! And, when you go to Prof. Oak's lab, Missingno (or 'M's) stats will be ???, and if you look at either on of them on your list, your game will freeze. If you save a Missingno in the N64 game boxes, all of the Missingno and 'M in your Pokemon Party's names will be erased. This is bad for 'M because he has weird glitches next to his name, and you'll never be able to re-name him correctly again.

3. First, catch an 'M and teach him Fly and Tri Attack, and then evolve him into a Kanghaskan. Upload the Kanghaskan into the Stadium and battle with him. If you use fly as an attack with him, it will look like he is standing on air!

Left: Kangaskan that was originally evolved from 'M uses fly. Right: In this picture Kangaskan is up in the air and and about to come down to attack.

4. There's more to Pokémon Stadium (1) then uploading Missingno. In Pokémon Stadium, if you nickname a Mewtwo "MeWtWo", his tail will turn a brownish color. If you nickname a Meowth "Meowmeow" Meowth's tips will turn red. If you nickname a Voltorb "voltvolt", Voltorb will turn light purple. And if you nickname Pikachu "Pikact", Pikachu will turn pale yellow. But remember this all depends on ID, so the colors might be different.

P.S. Missingno looks like a Ditto in the new Pokémon Stadium 2.

MENU CODES:

In the Red/Blue/Yellow versions, save the game. Just before it is done, hold the "A" button. The menu will still be there. Stop holding the "A" button to make it stop. Also, if you leave the link cable in the system after a trade in the Red/Blue/Yellow versions, usually the menu will get messed up (in the fact that when you go down, the menu will always pop up.)

WHICH VERSIONS?

The codes above may only work for certain versions. Numbers indicates them. (Duplicating Pokemon is a pre-code). For example, the Missingno Code is the 1st code, so it is indicated with the #1. In this manner, count down from Missingno to see what the codes are and look at this section below.

Cloning: Gold Silver Crystal

1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 Red Blue

2. Red Blue Yellow

Pokemon Future, St. Martian's Press. Look for it in on the Internet (Amazon.com), because it has more information on Gold/Silver, Missingno, etc.

SECRET MYSTERY FOR GOLD/SILVER:

Once when I was pressing the buttons I stumbled across a mystery. If you press SELECT + B + DOWN and hold them at the same time on the screen in Gold/Silver where Lugia/Ho-oh is flying, a screen will pop up and say "would you like to reset the clock?" If you say "Yes", it will say "enter password". Whatever this means, if you type any number it will say "wrong password". This is unknown, for now. If it worked, it would be a main code.
