How To Substitute With Honey

Did you know that you can substitute honey for other sweeteners in baked goods? Here's how to do it:
You can substitute honey for nearly half of the sugar in a recipe. When you use honey, reduce the liquid in a recipe by ¼ cup per each cup of honey that you use. Add ½ tsp. of baking soda per each cup of honey. Reduce oven temperature by 25° F to prevent over-browning. When you measure out honey, keep in mind that 12 oz. of honey is equal to a measuring cup.

With this is mind, you can reduce your sugar intake!
