.......the closer I looked, the more rust I found.  So I bought panels to replace the right and left sills, trunk floor, right and left floor pans and a couple of repair panels for the rear fenders.  I took two quarters of Welding at our local vocational school last year, so I feel confident Mig welding the body panels and the chassis. I'll strip the body completely and prime it myself.  The chassis will be dipped along with the GT6 chassis for the Spit6.

I needed a new windsheild due to a deep gouge in the glass.  Fortunately the donor for the GT6 chassis  for my Spit6 project (the light blue Mk3 at the far end of the garage) had a decent windshield that fits the Spitfire.               back home
