Brown Cemetery is located east of State Road 41, near the town of Pimento, Indiana. The gravel roads, landfills, and lack of clear directions made this a difficult cemetery to locate. Brown Cemetery was actually on Cemetery Road. The condition of the grounds was good except for the encroachment of water, which may have eliminated some stones. Check the Vital Records pages of this website for obituaries of some of these persons.
There are only less than a dozen Kester graves here, with the most notable being Isaac Newton Kester. Isaac is the son of John Pound & Sarah Ann (Beauchamp) Kester. Isaac's son, Charles Edward Kester and his wife, Josie (Weeks) Kester are also buried here. The following is not a complete listing. Click names for photos of stones.
