Indiana Noblesville Ledger “FRANK KERCHEVAL DIED SATURDAY AT SHERDIAN Was Active as a Teacher For a Number of Years FUNERAL SERVICES MONDAY AFTERNOON” Frank V. Kercheval, one of the prominent teachers of Hamilton county for many years, died at his home at Sheridan, early Saturday morning, aged 67 years. Mr. Kercheval had been ill for many months and it was known he could not recover. The funeral services will occur at the Methodist church at Sheridan, Monday afternoon, at 2 o’clock. Mr. Kercheval is survived by the widow, and two daughters, Mrs. Albert Kester and Mrs. Lone Higbee, of Sheridan, and an adopted son, Donald Kercheval. Also three sisters survive, Mrs. Mary Boxley, Mrs. Ella Mills and Mrs. C.M. Harr, all of Sheridan. Mr. Kercheval had taught in the schools of Hamilton County for forty-seven years and was regarded as one of the most successful teachers in the county. He was a man of the finest character and attainments, and his death will be sincerely mourned by a large number of people of the county, both in the teaching profession and by others who had known and appreciated the splendid citizenship of Frank Kercheval.
