Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Are you Mickey Rooney? Can you please visit my sick child and/or reminisce with me about your Hollywood days and military service?
A: Um, no. This
site is in no way an “official” Mickey Rooney site and is not at all associated
with (or authorized by) Mr. Rooney or his minions. It’s just a humble
little fansite that often frightens and confuses my friends and family.
Q: Is Mickey Rooney still alive?
A: Yes, indeed – alive
and well and still performing and making appearances here and there.
He celebrated his 82nd birthday on September 23, 2002. Rooney often
describes himself not as a survivor, but as a reviver.
Q: How can I contact Mickey Rooney to send him a fan letter, request a picture, etc.?
A: I’m actually trying to track down the one true address for The Mick ... sadly, there are a number of incorrect addresses for him floating around the Internet. In the meantime, you can try:
Mickey Rooney
4156 Thousand Oaks Boulevard
Westlake Village, CA 91362
Please let us know (theRooneyX@prodigy.net)
if this address yields a response for you.
Q: How do I find a copy of ‘Bill,’ ‘It Came Upon the Midnight Clear,’ etc. on videotape?
A: These titles are unfortunately long out-of-print and currently unavailable on home video. Your best bet for finding a copy is the online auction house, eBay. Previously viewed copies of these titles very often pop up for sale:
Q: What is the name of the heart machine/device Rooney was to promote that ultimately ended up saving his life?
A: In December of 2000, Rooney underwent successful multiple bypass heart surgery to clear a blockage found when he was testing a heart machine he was planning to promote. The name of the machine is InsideTrac. Here's a link to their website:
