A Grand Adventure will be a straight forward 140 mile, Time Speed Distance (TSD) event conducted on paved and unpaved rural roads of Ionia and Kent counties. Speeds will be reasonable but challenging depending on weather conditions. For timing, the organizers are using the latest Timewise rally clocks. The Event will start at the Corner Landing, just north of the junction of I-96 and M-66, south of Ionia. Car numbers will be assigned following registration.

The event will follow the 1997 Road Rally Regulations for Tour rallies. Mileage will be given frequently to help prevent anyone from leaving the course. One break, with a time of day restart, will be used to keep the rally together and on time. The need to stay on time consistently, maintain alertness, and develop and maintain an accurate correction factor will challenge both the driver and the navigator.

CLASSES
Equipped:
Unlimited equipment.
Limited:
Any mileage measuring equipment and any calculation equipment without direct odometer input (laptop computers, programmable calculators, etc.).
Stock:
Stock odometer system and any non programmable calculator with not more than one memory.
Novice:
Any team where the total number of rallies run by the driver and navigator combined does not exceed six (6). Equipment limitations are the same as Stock Class.
