Saturday, November 14th, Marianne & Jim Mickle, Tom Woodside and Scott Harvey Jr. teamed up to present the tenth annual Thumbs Up Tour Rally on a beautiful day for rallying. Despite the date being the day before the opening of deer hunting season, 19 entries from as far away as Terre Haute, Indiana and Cedarburg Wisconsin descended on the town of Imlay City for what was to be a very competitive rally. The event was 192.770 miles long on mostly good unpaved roads. The nine control crews operated a total of 33 open controls, all of which were scored. Mark Henderson and Rick Shue teamed up to win with a score of 20 points! (12 seconds cumulative error for 33 controls!) Dave Parps and Greg Lester were leading early, but just couldn't seem to string out any zeros in the third section, and finished with 27 points for second place. Art Welch and Terry Palmer were sixth overall and first in the Limited Class with 165. Terry was cranking an old Curta. Brian Scott and Mark Kleckner took the Stock Class with 313. The Novice Class was a tie with 433 points, good enough for second in the Stock Class. The tiebreaker gave the first place trophy to Robert Kay and Michael Bennett over Gary Evans and Josh Zido. Eric Jones and Bill Potvin, in Eric's MGB took the vintage class with 215 points. The final results are listed below.

Again, as last year, the restaurant staff were glad to see us and when we thanked them for allowing us the use of their facility, they were very sincere when they said it's always fun dealing with us. Thanks to all of you for being so cordial to them.
