CONCEPT:

August Madness is a straightforward Tulip format TSD rally. The rally will be run at night with fairly brisk CAST speeds. Roads will be mostly unpaved. A mid-way break will be included.

RALLY LENGTH:

Approximately 120 miles, 10 checkpoints.

ROADS:

30% Paved, 70% Unpaved
Covers portions of Genessee, Livingston, Washtenaw counties.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

7:00-8:30 PM	Registration & Tech
8:15 PM	Drivers' Meeting
8:30 PM	Car # 1 Receives Route Instructions
9:01 PM	Car # 1 Starts Rally
1:30 AM	Car # 1 Finishes (approx.)

START	Park & Ride Lot at US 23 Exit 79 (Silver Lake Rd.) Near Fenton, between Brighton and Flint, MI

CLASSES

Equipped:

Unlimited equipment.

Limited:

Any mileage measuring equipment and any calculation equipment without direct odometer input (lap top computers, hand held calculators, etc.).

Stock:

Stock odometer system and any non programmable calculator with not more than one memory. Curta calculators are allowed in Stock Class.

Novice:

Any team where the total number of rallies run by the driver and navigator combined does not exceed six (6). Equipment limitations the same as Stock Class.
