Round 4 of the 1999 Detroit Region Road Rally Championship

A "Dusk-To-Dawn" SCCA Tour Road Rally

June 19-20, 1999
Saturday evening thru Sunday morning

DawnBuster returns as an all-night, endurance Dusk-to-Dawn Time-Speed-Distance road rally. The course meanders west of metropolitan Detroit totalling 350 miles through Washtenaw, Jackson, Calhoun, and Barry counties. Since many of southern Michigan's most interesting roads are unpaved, much use will be made of gravel roads. Depending upon the weather and the whims of the local road commissions, unpaved road conditions may range from mud, to dust, to hard-packed washboards. Speeds will take into account the prevailing road conditions.

The rally will be governed by the SCCA's 1999 Road Rally Regulations for Tour Rallies. A minimum of two breaks with time-of-day restarts will allow for rest and refreshment. The ability to stay on time under the rigors of long distance night rallying will provide a challenge to drivers and navigators alike.

CLASSES

Equipped:: Unlimited equipment.
Limited:: Any mileage measuring equipment and any calculation equipment without direct odometer input (lap top computers, hand held calculators, etc.).
Stock:: Stock odometer system and any non programmable calculator with not more than one memory. Curta calculators are allowed.
Novice:: Any team where the total number of rallies run by the driver and navigator combined does not exceed six (6). Equipment limitations the same as Stock Class.
