Recommendations for Nick Higgins
Hessians MC; Orange County Nick is professional, gregarious, creative, energetic and his camera work is outstanding. He is easy to communicate with and works very well with others. Never for a moment believe that actors, animals and kids are hard to work with. Outlaw bikers are hard, honest, unforgiving, and do not suffer fools. They are very comfortable and at ease with Nick. I plan to work with him for a very long time .Randall Wilson, Producer-Director Centaur Productions
Iraq for Sale; The War Profiteers Nick's passion, commitment and caring are first rate. He has a great eye and can easily handle sensitive interviews and emotional situations. I looked forward each day to working with him. Robert Greenwald, Brave New Films
Mother Divine; Chicago Nick is a dynamic cinematographer with a beautiful eye and a keen understanding of people, lighting and process. Where can you meet a Scottish guy and take him to the inner city of Chicago, into a predominantly black neighborhood and have him fit in effortlessly? That's called skill, compassion, understanding...one who is only concerned with the art and in love with what he does. If anyone has the opportunity to work with Nick I am certain they will want to continue the partnership throughout their lifetime. A jewel indeed. Tracie Dean Ponder- Producer-Director Ponder This Productions
Himalaya Heaven; India I highly recommend you consider Nick Higgins as a Director of Photography for your next project. The results for Himalaya Heaven speak for themselves. The film was shot in Northern India during the heightened tensions surrounding the first week of the second Gulf War. The documentary’s subjects, members of a spiritual group, could have easily blanched at the prospect of having an outsider with a camera scrutinizing every aspect of their daily live. Instead, they warmed to Nick’s tremendous sensitivity, allowing the camera to blend into its surroundings, honoring us with unrestricted access at the ashram and also in the surrounding village. Lenore French; Producer-Director; Mataram Productions
