First photo here is a Merriam Pack used by a soldier in Company G. The 9 on the pack stands for 9th N.Y. Regiment, the G stand for the Company letter. The 8 on the bottom left is the soldiers number on Company G's roster. ( a big thanks to Frank McGlothlin for supplying the photos of the pack).

Here is a great find ! A haversack belonging to Private William C. Dwyer, Company K. (thanks to Eugene Lewis for supplying the photos)


Here is a 3rd Corps hat pin insignia. The 9 stands for the 9th NY, the white color stands for the Second Division within the 3rd Corps. Click on the soldier photo below to get a close up look at the insignia.
