"1965/66 & 1966/67 C.H.L.
CHAMPIONS"

Oklahoma City joined the league for the 65/66 season after a
franchise shift from Minneapolis. The Blazers suspended operation
after the 71/72 season. But the Blazers only missed 1 season
before returning with a new parent club. The Blazers played the
next 4 seasons before leaving again after the 76/77 season. Again
Oklahoma City would come back to the C.H.L. with another parent
team and a new name, The Stars. The Stars played another 4 years
before leaving for good after the 81/82 season. They were joined
by the Dallas Black Hawks and Fort Worth Texans in the departure.
This would hurt the C.H.L. with 3 out of 4 of its oldest teams
leaving the league. From which it would never recover.
