| Ottmar's formative years were spent in Germany and Argentina, where his mother, also an artist, taught him the elementary steps in drawing and painting, before he started his extensive world travel. It was at a very early age that he became fascinated with art and continued to advance his knowlege of painting from books, magazines, museums, art galleries, and from other artists. Upon observation of Ottmar's attention to details, it should come as no suprise that VERMEER is among his favorite artists and source of inspiration. | ||
| Ottmar has experimented with pencil, ink, watercolors, acrylics, and oil; on canvas, paper, and metals. But without a doubt, his speciality is acrylic painting on metals. In the "Series 2000" it is possible to appreciate the details, method and technique that was devised by Ottmar for the creation of his unique, artistic pictures. | ||
