Welcome to BayRab Acres where you will find primarily Arabian and Arabian-cross horses raised for trail, sporthorse activities, and pleasure riding. Pictured above is our stallion Corary Szybki with our grandson John. This is the disposition of horses at BayRab Acres, kid worthy but beautiful!

Our Philosophy

We love Arabian horses. They are our entertainment, our companions, our fun and our worry. You will find at BayRab Acres that all the horses (and ponies) are healthy, happy and loving animals. That is what we do best.

The horses are hand-raised with good nutrition, good veterinary and farrier care, and lots of kind and sensible handling. We believe, that horses, like children, will live up or down to our expectations.

Our goal is to raise and train horses that are safe, sane, good looking and fun to ride. We want to match the horse with the rider and make sure that our babies go to homes where they will get the same kind of loving attention they got here.

The BayRabs

The farm's name comes from our foundation stock, three bay Arabian horses. They are: Star(man), my endurance and competitive trail riding horse; Brokenmoon Latifa (Gay Laddinn x SW Letitia C), known as Tee, and Shakeela Lee (Supreme Jubilee x Brokenmoon Latifa) both broodmares. Our stallion also is a bay Arabian -- Corary Szybki who carries in his blood the genetics of the indominitable WitezII. Like his great grandsire, Szybki (rhymes with Zippy) has heart, courage, spirit and kindness.

"Latifa" is Arabic for kindness. Both mares are kind and curious. The mares are of Polish-Crabbet lineage with CMK influence. Shak is a WitezII descendant and helps us preserve a legendary bloodline.

Star's lineage is unknown, but it is clear he is Arabian through and through. BRA Dafina Alimar, or Ali, is my special sweetheart. A "tent" Arab in every sense of the word. She'd come live in the house with us if we let her! We also have various young BayRabs.

A Second Chance Farm

Our pride and joy is Corary Szybki, a 22 year young Arabian stallion who has found a new lease on life at BayRab Acres.

Many our adult equines found a new lease on life here. Star nearly met his fate with the killers at a sale barn. Tee and Shak were brought from Tennessee where they had been hungry and neglected. Our stallion came off the shipping van thin and disheveled. We've learned that good groceries, dental work, veterinary and farrier care, with a heaping helping of loving attention has helped these horses rekindle their inner fires and reach their potentials.

Young stock

All the registered horses born at this farm will be named with the farm acronym "BRA" for BayRab Acres.

Our goals are to help preserve the WitezII bloodline and to raise sane, sensible, well built foals that discriminating horse lovers will be proud to call own. We breed for quality not quantity.

Currently, our plans are to give the broodmares a rest in 2005 and 2006. THIS YEAR'S CROP OF FOALS MAY BE OUR LAST FOR A WHILE! IF YOU WANT ONE, SPEAK UP QUICKLY!

What Can We Do For You?

***Young horse for sale: We will be honest about their breeding and potential because we want them to have the appropriate jobs for their mental and physical abilities.

***Custom breeding: Our stallion is available for stud service via live cover or artificial insemination. His sperm has been tested for motility and viability and is off the charts in quality and quantity! We will offer our mares for custom breeding only after 2005. If you want a BayRab, we will require a $500 deposit when the mare is confirmed in foal and the balance of the agreed price when the foal is born. We want to make sure that clients are serious about their new foals and that the foals have a home to go to.

***Horses for sale: Occasionally, we'll have an adult horse for sale. If we don't have the right horse, we can put you and the right horse together. And we can help you sell a horse.

***Distance riding: Want to learn the ropes of endurance and competitive trail riding? Chris and Star can take you on practice rides and teach you what is expected on the trail and at pulse and respiration checks. You can learn how to pace your horse, how to check his heart rate, how to navigate hills and creeks. ******Beginner riding lessons. Want to learn how to handle horses safely? To gain balance and confidence in your seat and ability to handle issues? I work with children and adults and have a wonderful lesson horse, Zabbie.

***Business help: Need help getting the message out about your own farm or business? Chris is a seasoned news reporter with many years of public relations and marketing experience. She will put her skills to work for you helping you design newsletters, brochures, business cards and putting together marketing plans.
